Set 9-30-12

Here's the set for the week. We'll be doing the song "But God" by Michael Bleecker that you guys did a few weeks ago when I was out. I believe you did this in the recorded key of G and we'll probably stick with that. I've posted an acoustic version of the song along with the live recording Andy had.

I hope you're having a good week. Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 9-30-12

But God (acoustic mp3 - Michael Bleecker / live mp3)
Sun and Moon (mp3 - Phil Wickham / acoustic mp3 / teaching video)
Lord, I Need You (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)

Set 9-23-12

The set for the week is listed below. We'll be doing the song "Sun and Moon" by Phil Wickham. The recording is in C, but we may drop it to B. I've posted the album version as well as an acoustic version and a "teaching video" that I had of Phil Wickham walking through how he plays the song.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone Sunday. Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 9-23-12
Song of Hope (mp3 - Robbie Seay Band)
All I Want Is You (mp3 - Phil Wickham / acoustic mp3)
Sun and Moon (mp3 - Phil Wickham / acoustic mp3 / teaching video)
I Exalt Thee (mp3 - Jesus Culture)

Set 9-16-12

Here's the set for the week. We'll be without Andy and Hayden this week, so the set will be a little more laid back with songs primarily led by piano. I'd like to try to do the Page CXVI arrangement of "Rock of Ages" on Sunday, but the chord chart I have (which is from their website) doesn't seem to match up with what they're actually playing on the recording. Kale - see if you can figure it out, and if not we may switch it out with another song like "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)". I'll also likely want to change the key of the song from the recorded key.

I hope you're having a good week. See you Sunday,
Jeremy

Set 9-16-12
Waiting Here For You (mp3 - Christy Nockels)
Heart of Worship (mp3 - Passion)
Rock of Ages (mp3 - Page CXVI)
Everything (mp3 - Tim Hughes)

Set 9-9-12

This week's set is listed below. We'll be doing "I Exalt Thee" by Jesus Culture this week - a little different arrangement of an old praise song. The recording is in G and we'll probably stick with that (although possibly may drop it to F).

Also, in regard to a few organizational items, thanks to everyone for being there last Sunday morning on time (or close to it). We're going to try to put more emphasis on starting at 9:15am on Sundays so that we can start wrapping up by 10am, with a "hard stop" at 10:10am. I'd also like to invite everyone to join us for a 10 minute prayer time at 10:10am in Andy's office. It will be good to get some prayer time as a group before the worship service.

Lastly, I've made a few modifications to the Redeemer Band Schedule, so let me know if you have any updates. I think Hayden will be in the nursery this week, so unless Aaron can fill in we may be without electric - so Kale may get to add in a few more flourishes on the keys for "I Exalt Thee".

Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 9-9-12
How Can I Keep from Singing (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)
My King (mp3 - The Village Church)
I Exalt Thee (mp3 - Jesus Culture)
Holy (mp3 - Matt Redman)

Set 9-2-12

I'm glad to be back. I've posted the set for Sunday below. We'll be repeating "You Are More" from two weeks ago and "Rock of Ages" from last week when I was out. We'll keep the arrangement of "Rock of Ages" similar to what you did last week (which I believe was in the recorded key of G#m), so you all can bring me up to speed on Sunday. Just for fun I've also posted an alternate version of "Rock of Ages" by Page CXVI that I had. We'll keep this in mind for a future arrangement of the song, but I thought you might enjoy checking it out as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing you Sunday. Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 9-2-12
No Not One (mp3 - Christy Nockels)
Our God (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)
Rock of Ages (mp3 - Sojourn) / alternate version Rock of Ages (mp3 - Page CXVI)

You Are More (mp3 - Hillsong)

Set 8-19-12

For this week's set we'll be doing a new song called "You Are More" by Hillsong. The recording is in G#m, but I think we may take it up a half-step to Am. I'm also thinking about beginning the song with just keys like in this video, but then adding in the other layers as we move to Verse 2. We'll see how it goes on Sunday.

Thanks again to everyone for all the work you put in to this ministry. I'd also like to specifically thank Kyle for his time and dedication to the band as he moves on - he'll be missed.

See you Sunday,
Jeremy

Set 8-19-12
Sing, Sing, Sing (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)
This Is the Day (mp3 - Phil Wickham)
You Are More (mp3 - Hillsong)
Jesus Paid It All (mp3 - Passion)

Set 8-12-12

Here's the set for the week. We'll be doing the song "Sing, Sing, Sing" by Chris Tomlin. The recording is in E, but we'll likely do this in D.

I've also updated the Redeemer Band Schedule for the fall. I've incorporated dates that I knew people would be out or in the nursery. Check it out and make any changes that are needed (or let me know and I can change it).

See you Sunday. Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 8-12-12
Sing, Sing, Sing (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)
All Because of Jesus (mp3 - Fee)
More Than Amazing (mp3 - Lincoln Brewster)
