Set 1-1-12

Here the set for the week - sorry for the delay in getting this up as I get back on schedule after Christmas, etc. Speaking of that, thanks again to everyone that helped lead worship while I was out with the new baby and to those who gave their time for the Christmas services - it's much appreciated.

Also, I'll be out next week (1/8) on the road back from Louisiana, so we can talk about these plans on Sunday. After this, we should hopefully be able to get back on a more regular schedule.

Thanks again - looking forward to seeing you Sunday,
Jeremy

Set 1-1-12
When I Think About the Lord (mp3 - Shane & Shane)
Glory In the Highest (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)
Fire Fall Down (mp3 - Hillsong)
I Stand Amazed (How Marvelous) (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)

Set 11-27-11

I went ahead and put together a set for Sunday under the assumption that I'll be there. If I'm not, Andy will let you know the plan (which I believe will be the alternate set that you guys have worked up).

For the set below, we'll do "When I Think About the Lord" in the key of A as on the recording and "Grace Greater Than Our Sin" in the arrangement we did last week. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and I'll see you Sunday-or maybe not. :)

Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 11-27-11
Day After Day (mp3 - Kristian Stanfill)
When I Think About the Lord (mp3 - Shane & Shane)
Grace Greater Than Our Sin (mp3 - The Village Church)
Come Ye Sinners (mp3 - Robbie Seay Band)

Wednesday, November 16, 2011

Set 11-20-11

I hope things are going well. Here's this week's set. I'd like to do "Grace Greater Than Our Sin" like the typical hymn and in the key of G as shown on the chord chart. I'm not looking for an arrangement (or alternate melody) like in the mp3 I've uploaded, but I wanted to include it as a starting point. The first verse/chorus is more like what I have in mind.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 11-20-11
Ruin Me (mp3 - Jeff Johnson)
Only Your Blood (mp3 - Sojourn)
Grace Greater Than Our Sin (mp3 - The Village Church)
Glory In the Highest (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)

Wednesday, November 9, 2011

Set 11-13-11

Here's the set for the week. I thought "We Shall Not Be Shaken" would be a little too obvious, so I chose the four songs below instead :) I think we'll do "Glory In the Highest" in the recorded key of C.

Also, it looks like Kyle isn't going to be able to make it this week, so Blake would you be able to fill in on bass?

See you Sunday,
Jeremy

Set 11-13-11
All Because of Jesus (mp3 - Fee)
No Not One (mp3 - Christy Nockels)
All Creatures of Our God and King (mp3 - David Crowder Band)
Glory In the Highest (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)

Thursday, November 3, 2011

Set 11-6-11

The set for the week is listed below - sorry for posting it a little later than usual. I hope everyone's having a good week - see you Sunday.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 11-6-11
Marvelous Light (mp3 - Charlie Hall)
My King (mp3 - The Village Church)
Forever Reign (mp3 - Hillsong)
Waiting Here For You (mp3 - Christy Nockels)

Set 10-30-11

Here's the set for the week. As I mentioned in my last post, we'll be doing a new song called "Waiting Here For You" in G (rather than the recorded Eb).

Also, as a quick reminder, we have the Redeemer Band Schedule linked on the side of this page (or in the dropdown on the mobile version of the blog) if you want to see the upcoming schedule. This is what we're working from as the week-to-week schedule, so please update it if you need to change your schedule. You should all have "edit" permissions, but let me know if you have questions or would like me to update it for you.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all Sunday. Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 10-30-11
Here Is Our King (mp3 - David Crowder Band)
Your Love Never Fails (mp3 - Jesus Culture)
Waiting Here For You (mp3 - Christy Nockels)
Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)

Monday, October 17, 2011

Set 10-23-11

I hope everyone's having a good start to their week. I thought I'd get the set out a little earlier this week to give a little more practice time with Andy gone on Sunday - thanks Kyle for filling in.

I've also included the chart and mp3 for a new song we'll be doing next week called "Waiting Here For You" so you can start getting a feel for it. The recording is in Eb, but I'd like to try it in G if that works.

Thanks again - see you Sunday,
Jeremy

Set 10-23-11
Safe (mp3 - Phil Wickham)
Open the Eyes of My Heart (mp3 - Shane & Shane)
Healing Is In Your Hands (mp3 - Christy Nockels)
Lord, I Need You (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)

Next Week:
Waiting Here For You (mp3 - Christy Nockels)

Tuesday, October 11, 2011

Set 10-16-11

Here's the set for the week. We'll be doing "Safe" by Phil Wickham in the key of A rather than the recorded key of B. Also, for "Our God" I didn't have a typical key listed. I believe we've done this in G in the past and we'll likely stick with this, but I've added A to the chart as an additional option.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 10-16-11
All Because of Jesus (mp3 - Fee)
Safe (mp3 - Phil Wickham)
King of Wonders (mp3 - Matt Redman)
Our God (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)

Hey everybody - thanks again for all the effort and energy you put into leading others in worship. This week's set is listed below. We'll be doing a "new to Redeemer" song called "All Because of Jesus" by Fee. The recording is in C, but I'd like to give it a shot in A on Sunday.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Come Ye Sinners (mp3 - Robbie Seay Band)
I Lift My Hands (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)

Tuesday, September 27, 2011

Set 10-2-11

I hope everyone's having a good week. The set for this week is listed below. The recording for "Everything" is in C, but I believe we've done this in B in the past (but correct me if I'm wrong).

I've also added a new link on the sidebar to the Redeemer Band Schedule spreadsheet. I've given each of you access to edit this shared document so we all are working from the same information. I started with a list Hayden created for the electric guitar and bass rotation and added all of the band pieces. I've made a few changes, so check to see if any of these dates aren't going to work for you. We'll modify this as we go along, but the link on the sidebar of the blog will always take you to the most current version. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 10-2-11
All We Need (mp3 - Charlie Hall)
Nothing But the Blood (mp3 - Matt Redman)
Healing Is In Your Hands (mp3 - Christy Nockels)
Everything (mp3 - Tim Hughes)

Wednesday, September 21, 2011

Set 9-25-11

Here's our set for the week. We'll be doing a new song called "Healing Is In Your Hands". The recording is in D, but I'd like to play it up a step in E. Hope you're having a good week - see you Sunday.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 9-25-11
My King (mp3 - The Village Church)
Here Is Our King (mp3 - David Crowder Band)
Healing Is In Your Hands (mp3 - Christy Nockels)
All Creatures of Our God and King (mp3 - David Crowder Band)

Wednesday, September 14, 2011

Set 9-18-11

The set for the week is listed below. I'm not sure if we've done "Here Is Our King" at Redeemer before, but if so it's been a while. I think we'll do this in the recorded key of Bb. I've also included an mp3 of a song we'll do next week called "Healing Is In Your Hands". We'll likely change the key, but I thought I'd go ahead and post it so you could get a feel for it.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 9-18-11
Awaken My Soul (mp3 - Robbie Seay Band)
Here Is Our King (mp3 - David Crowder Band)
High and Lifted Up (mp3 - Hillsong)
Forever Reign (mp3 - Hillsong)

Next Week:
Healing Is In Your Hands (mp3 - Christy Nockels)

Wednesday, September 7, 2011

Set 9-11-11

Here's the set for the week. We'll be doing a new song called "Awaken My Soul" by the Robbie Seay Band. The recording is in A and I think we'll stick with that key. I look forward to seeing everyone Sunday.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 9-11-11
Bring Me to Life (mp3 - Bebo Norman)
Awaken My Soul (mp3 - Robbie Seay Band)
Awakening (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)
I Stand Amazed (How Marvelous) (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)

Tuesday, August 30, 2011

Set 9-4-11

I hope everyone's doing well this week - thanks again for all the work you put into this. The set is listed below. We'll be doing a song new to Redeemer called "Bring Me to Life". In the past I've done this in the recorded key of D, but I'd like to try it in C this Sunday. We'll "C" how it goes ... sorry, had to do it.

Thanks,

Wednesday, August 24, 2011

Set 8-28-11

Here's the set for the week. We'll be bringing back the song Jachin introduced named "Made Us Alive", although we'll be doing it in a lower key. The recording is in B, but we'll play it in A.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone Sunday. Thanks,

Wednesday, August 17, 2011

Set 8-21-11

I hope your week's going well. The set is listed below - I don't think we've done "Walk the World" at Redeemer before. We'll stick to the recorded key. "I Stand Amazed" is in Ab, but we'll lower it half a step to G.

Thanks,

Monday, August 1, 2011

Set 8-14-11

I decided to go ahead and send out the set for 8/14 (a week from Sunday) since Andy and I are going to be gone this Sunday (8/7) and most of that week. The Barnetts are going to be leading worship this Sunday. Thanks guys for doing this - I'll miss getting to be here for it.

Thanks,

Wednesday, July 27, 2011

Set 7-31-11

Here's the set for the week. Thanks for the work everyone's putting in for worship. As mentioned last week, Jachin will be introducing the song "Made Us Alive" on Sunday. We'll be playing it in D rather than the recorded key of B.

Thanks,

Tuesday, July 19, 2011

Set 7-24-11

I hope you're having a good week. The set for Sunday is listed below. Christy will be leading us in a new song called "Restless". The recording is in B, but I believe she wants to do it in E. I've also included a song we'll do next week called "Made Us Alive" that Jachin McDonald is going to introduce to the church. I'm not sure what key will work best for him, but I've included the chart and recording to give us a head start on being ready to play this with him.

Looking forward to seeing you Sunday,

Tuesday, July 12, 2011

Set 7-17-11

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm really enjoying the "cold" weather today. This week's set is listed below. David Kingery will be filling in for us on drums. I'm looking forward to seeing you all Sunday.

Thanks,

Wednesday, July 6, 2011

Set 7-10-11

I hope everyone had a nice 4th of July holiday this week. The set for Sunday is listed below. We'll be doing a new song called "My King". The recording is in E, but I'd like to key it down to D if possible. I've also posted two additional new songs below. We should be working them in over the coming weeks (not necessarily next week), so I'd like for everyone to be familiar with them.

Thanks,

Tuesday, June 28, 2011

Set 7-3-11

Here's the set for the week. We'll be doing a new song called "Lord, I Need You" based on the hymn "I Need Thee Every Hour". The recording is in B and I think we'll stick to that (since the range is wide enough it could be difficult to move). We also will have David and Paul Kingery filling in on drums and bass respectively - thanks guys!

I've also included an mp3 of a song we'll likely do next week called "My King" so you can start to get a feel for it.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 6-26-11

Hey everybody - thanks again for all the time and effort you put into this ministry. The set for the week is listed below. I'm not sure if we've done "Song of the Redeemed" before, but it's been a long time if so. Let me know if you see any problems with the chart.

I've also included a link to the mp3 of "Lord, I Need You" which is a new song we'll be doing next week. I'll post the chart along with the set next week, but I thought you might like to listen to it now to start getting a feel for it.

Thanks,

Next Week:
Lord, I Need You (mp3 - Chris Tomlin)

Wednesday, June 15, 2011

Set 6-19-11

Here's this week's set. I believe we'll also be doing the Lord's Supper so we may be reprising one (or a few) of these - but Andy should be able to give us a better idea of how he'd like things structured.

Thanks,

Wednesday, June 8, 2011

Set 6-12-11

Here's the set for the week. It looks like we'll be without Kale on keys this week, so we'll postpone revisiting "I Lift My Hands" until next week. Thanks again for all the time and effort you put in to leading worship!

Thanks,
Jeremy

Set 6-5-11

Hey everyone - this week we'll be doing a new song called "I Lift My Hands" by Chris Tomlin. The recording is in B, but I'm thinking we'll do it a step down in A. The guitar is pretty simple, but the keys are a little more involved. Worshiptogether.com has a video that breaks it down if that's helpful Kale, and also has a nice explanation of the origins of the song if anyone's interested.

Hope you're having a good week,

Wednesday, May 25, 2011

Set 5-29-11

Here's this week's set - hopefully it finds you well after the storms. We'll be doing a new song called "High and Lifted Up" and for once I don't think I want to change the key - at least for now :)

I look forward to seeing everyone Sunday!

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Set 5-22-11

Hey everyone - here's the set for the week. We'll be doing a new song called "A Mighty Fortress" that is different from the hymn. The recording is in C, but since I don't have the range of Christy Nockels I would like to try it in E. Also, the recording for the hymn "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" is just there as a reference point since it doesn't match the arrangement (or meter) we worked out last week.

I hope things are going well - see you on Sunday.
-Jeremy

Wednesday, May 11, 2011

Set 5-15-11

The set for the week is listed below. This week we'll be doing the hymn "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" at Andy's request. The recording is in Bb, but I'd rather do this in C. We also may change up the arrangement a little. I'm thinking of possibly starting with just keys and then adding the band on the second verse, but we can figure it out on Sunday.

See you Sunday!

Tuesday, May 3, 2011

Set 5-8-11

Here's the set for the week. This week we'll be doing a new song called "Forever Reign" by Hillsong. The recording is in C, but I'd like to lower it to B if possible.

Also, we'll be doing a little different arrangement of "Nothing But the Blood" than the traditional hymn. This has a pretty piano part that drives the song, which will work out well since we'll be doing this following a baptism (and we'll be without Andy on guitar for this song). The recording in C is lower than I'd like, so let's try this in F if Kale is able to work it out on piano. Let me know if you're having issues with it as preferably I'd want the piano to match the recording as much as we can.

Thanks,

Wednesday, April 27, 2011

Set 5-1-11

Thanks again for all the time and work you put into the Good Friday and Easter services last week. I really enjoyed them and thought they were great ways to reflect on Christ's death and celebrate His resurrection. This week's set is listed below. We'll likely do "Everything" in the key of B and I'm thinking about rolling back into the chorus of "How Great Thou Art" at the end. We'll figure it out on Sunday. I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks,

Monday, April 18, 2011

Set 4-24-11 & Good Friday Service

Hey everyone - here's the set for the week along with the songs for the Good Friday service (along with the order of service). There's quite a bit here, but we've done a lot of these before and several have pretty simple arrangements. Let me know if you have any questions.

We'll need to get together to practice the songs for Friday, but at this point it looks like that will have to be on Friday. Andy or I should be getting with you to nail down the time.

Thanks again!
-Jeremy

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

Set 4-17-11

Here's this week's set. We'll be doing a new song called "Christ Is Risen". It's recorded in F# but as usual we'll likely drop it to E (as written without the capo).

Also, we have a Good Friday service coming up next week. I'm not sure who will be available to play, but I'll try to get the set out later this week since we'll have two sets to prepare for next week.

Hope everyone's having a good week,
Jeremy

Tuesday, April 5, 2011

Set 4-10-11

Here's the set for the week. "Our God" is written as Capo 4, but I'm pretty sure we've played this without the capo in the past. Also, we'll do "Awakening" in D like we did on Sunday.

Thanks again for what you all add to the worship. See you Sunday,

Wednesday, March 30, 2011

Set 4-3-11

Here's the set for the week. I'm waffling on what key to do "Awakening" in. The recording is in Eb, but I'm deciding between C and D. Kale and Andy - would you prefer either one? We could split the difference and play it in Db, but I figure that would make it pretty tough on Kale since he can't just cheat and capo like you Andy :) I've seen several different versions of the chord chart on Bridge 1 and Bridge 2, so let me know if you think we should modify the progression on the chart.

Thanks - looking forward to Sunday,

Tuesday, March 22, 2011

Set 3-27-11

It was good to have a full band again on Sunday - thanks for the time and work you all put in. "Your Love Never Fails" will be a new song this week. The recording is Capo 3, but we'll most likely play it without the capo to bring it down a little. Kale - we'll be doing "When All Is Said and Done" again this week, but you're welcome to play on the other songs if you have time to learn them (and feel comfortable). Andy - I think it would be beneficial to mic the piano so we can all hear each other and be able to balance the sound. Is that something you think we could do this week?

Thanks again - see everyone Sunday.

Wednesday, March 16, 2011

Set 3-20-11

Here's the set for the week. It'll be good to have Andy back along with everyone from the Haiti trip. I don't think we've done "When All Is Said and Done" at Redeemer before. It's primarily driven by keys, so Kale do you think you would have enough time to learn this song and play it with us? It would be nice to have you on the keys and I figure Andy might be worn out from the trip and appreciate the break on the last song :)

I'm looking forward to seeing you all Sunday.

Monday, March 7, 2011

Set 3-13-11

Update 3-11: I've made some changes for Sunday as shown below.

Hey everyone - it's good to be back in the U.S. and I'm looking forward to leading worship with you all this week. Andy will be in Haiti on Sunday, so Peter Erickson is going to be filling in on guitar for us this week - thanks Peter! I think "Walk the World" will be new to Redeemer, but Peter is an old pro at it - so it should be fun.

See everyone Sunday at 9:15am.

Thursday, February 17, 2011

Set 2-20-11

I hope everyone is doing well this week and enjoying the suddenly warm weather. Here's the set for the week. "Come Thou Fount" should be pretty straightforward, but I might want to change it up a little the next time we do it. Speaking of future weeks I'm going to be in Italy on 2/27 & 3/6, but look forward to seeing everyone when I get back.

See you Sunday!

Wednesday, February 2, 2011

Set 2-13-11 (previously 2-6-11)

I hope everyone is staying warm and safe in the weather this week. I'm working in a new song for Sunday called "Day After Day" by Kristian Stanfill. The chords should be correct, although we may want to drop it a little - we can figure that out on Sunday. Also, like last time, I want to do "All Creatures" more up-tempo than on the recording.

I look forward to seeing everyone safe and sound.

Wednesday, January 19, 2011

Set 1-23-11

I hope everyone is having a good week. It looks like we're going to have the new e-drums and possibly new main speakers this Sunday, so it should be fun to break everything in.

Thanks again for the work you all put in to accomplish this ministry!
-Jeremy

Friday, January 14, 2011

Set 1-16-11

Here's this week's set. I'm looking forward to hearing Amy on "None But Jesus" this week!

Hope you're doing well. See you Sunday.
-Jeremy

Friday, January 7, 2011

Set 1-9-11

Hey everyone - here's the set for the week. I'd like to increase the tempo of "All Creatures" compared to the recording since we'll be starting off the service with this.

See you Sunday!
