Set 1-20-13

Here's the set for the week - sorry for the little longer wait. We'll be doing a new song called "Holy Spirit" by Bryan & Katie Torwalt. We'll probably keep this in the original key of A (although I've included G also in case we want to lower it some).

Also, this week we'll begin to incorporate memory verses (with accompanying songs/graphics) from theversesproject.com into the worship service. The project's website has freely downloadable songs (some with graphics/phone backgrounds to go along with them) and devotional thoughts/blogs. Each month we'll have a featured verse, so I've created a new heading on the right-hand side of this blog to keep track of the current verse for the month (with links to the song and website). We'll incorporate the verses and songs in different ways, but I'm initially thinking we'll have the recording play during the welcome for a few weeks and then incorporate the song into the worship set. Andy has put together a document at this link with an initial list of the featured verses for the upcoming months if you want to take a look at it (which may change as we move forward).
