Set 9-2-12

I'm glad to be back. I've posted the set for Sunday below. We'll be repeating "You Are More" from two weeks ago and "Rock of Ages" from last week when I was out. We'll keep the arrangement of "Rock of Ages" similar to what you did last week (which I believe was in the recorded key of G#m), so you all can bring me up to speed on Sunday. Just for fun I've also posted an alternate version of "Rock of Ages" by Page CXVI that I had. We'll keep this in mind for a future arrangement of the song, but I thought you might enjoy checking it out as well.

Set 8-19-12

For this week's set we'll be doing a new song called "You Are More" by Hillsong. The recording is in G#m, but I think we may take it up a half-step to Am. I'm also thinking about beginning the song with just keys like in this video, but then adding in the other layers as we move to Verse 2. We'll see how it goes on Sunday.

Thanks again to everyone for all the work you put in to this ministry. I'd also like to specifically thank Kyle for his time and dedication to the band as he moves on - he'll be missed.

I've also updated the Redeemer Band Schedule for the fall. I've incorporated dates that I knew people would be out or in the nursery. Check it out and make any changes that are needed (or let me know and I can change it).

Here's this week's set. We'll be doing the new song "More Than Amazing" by Lincoln Brewster in the key of G rather than the recorded key of A. I think the chart generally looks good, but let me know if you think it needs changes.

I've also posted several new songs on the Future Song Ideas page, so we're set for about a year :) Let me know though if you have more ideas for songs as these are just "ideas" that we may or may not get to.
